This is a unique work that was painted by Frink shortly after she joined the staff at the Chelsea School of Art. ’The Harlequin’ was originally hung on the walls of the cafe bearing the same name - a popular meeting place on the Fulham Road where Frink would meet with other artists such as Plazzotta, FE McWilliam. Peter Thursby and the textile designer Tadek Beutlich.
