The gallery’s extensive inventory is shown in furnished interiors throughout a complex of buildings that are set around a private cobbled courtyard. The largest building is Rope House, which dates from the eighteenth century and was once a rope merchant’s workshop and home. Located on Kingsclere’s George Street, Rope House opens at the rear onto Rope Yard. This courtyard is enclosed on one side by a converted barn with Rope Studio below and Rope Loft above, and on the other side by Rope Cottage.
Rope Cottage (a two bedroom cottage) and Rope Loft (a one-bedroom first floor apartment)
are available to rent from the gallery for short stays.
